SABAM

ABOUT SABAM

SABAM is the Société Belge des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs (Belgian Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers).
Its object is the receipt, the redistribution, the administration and the management (in the widest sense of the word) of all copyrights in Belgium and in other countries where reciprocity agreements are entered into (with our sister societies, that is to say, with the collective management societies throughout the world).

STRUCTURE SABAM

The General Meeting represents all the members (authors and publishers) of SABAM. It meets annually on the first Monday of the month of June at 2pm. All members are invited to it. However, only members that have sent to the registered office their notice of attendance within the deadline and according to the required formalities (see Article 39 of the Articles of Association) may attend, and their voting right may only be exercised here by members that have fully paid up the face value of the share (i.e. €125) no later than 60 calendar days before the date of the meeting.

STATUTES AND REGULATIONS

This document gathers SABAM’s working rules; it defines the relationships between SABAM and its associate members. A copy there of is given to each new member, who accepts them by signing the contract of membership.

SUPPORT

SABAM’s main concern is the closeness with its authors and it commits itself firmly to the promotion of the repertoire and the support of its members via for instance: the SABAM MAGAZINE, the newsletter of general information, that of practical information for the attention of the audiovisual/literary/dramatic authors, the non-profit organization Culture SABAM…

SABAM EVENT

SABAM is a multidisciplinary authors’ society and it represents in this capacity most of the artistic disciplines.
Music, cinema, theatre, plastic arts have consequently their place among the internal events that SABAM proposes in order to support the authors from these different disciplines.
