The resale right is a royalty paid to creators of original graphic and visual artworks, such as painters, sculptors and photographers, when their original artwork is resold through the professional art market.

The resale right applies when the hammer price or sale price is €2,000 or more.

Professional art market professionals are required to report such resales through resaleright.be.
