Have you recently joined Sabam? Then you know: the first steps are often the hardest. Where do you start? How do you get the most out of your membership? What are your rights? And your opportunities?

That’s why there’s the Sabam Music Academy. Designed especially for new members who want to grow as creators. We guide you, keep you informed, and listen. Because the needs of our newest members help shape how we work.

What to expect

As a member of the Academy, you’ll have two years of opportunities to grow, network, and learn. Here’s a sample of what’s on offer:

• 2 Academy Network Days per year
  Talks, speed dates with music professionals, masterclasses…
• Free access to training programs such as Crash Course or Conseil de la Musique
• Tickets to networking events like Les Nuits, Feeërieën, or Fifty Lab
• Priority consideration for our Sabam writing camps
• Activities through our cultural partnerships

Who is eligible?

If you’ve been a Sabam member for less than two years, you have a chance to be automatically accepted into the Music Academy. To determine eligibility, we consider three criteria:

A colleague from the Member Relations team will review who automatically qualifies. If you’re selected, you’ll be able to participate in everything the Academy has to offer for two years.

What happens next?

After two years, we hope you’ll have taken your career to the next level. We’ll stay in touch through other programs, events, or one-on-one mentoring. The Academy is a starting point, not the end of the line.
