To translate or adapt a theatrical- or literary work, you must obtain permission from the original author. Please submit this permission together with your licence application, along with any applicable conditions and the agreed rights split.
It is advisable to arrange this in advance, as not every work may be freely translated or adapted.
If the author is represented by a foreign authors’ society, we can assist you in obtaining the necessary permission and conditions.
If the author has been deceased for more than 70 years, the work is no longer protected by authors’ rights. In that case, you may freely translate or adapt the text.
