From booking to payment: how does it work?
- Your work is performed abroad
- Register the performance dates and the organiser in MySabam
- The local copyright collecting society collects the royalties (or Sabam if there is no reciprocal agreement)
- The amounts are transferred to Sabam
- You receive your payment
How is your income calculated?
That depends on:
- the number of performances
- the rules and rates of the country in question
- your contribution to the work
Good to know: International royalties are often paid out later, because they must first be processed in the country in question before being forwarded to Sabam.
