Reprography and private copying

Not every use of your work is visible. Yet it continues to create value. Is your work being copied for educational purposes, within organizations, or for personal use? If so, you are entitled to compensation.

What's in it for you?

From copy to payment: here's how it works
  • Your work is being copied (photocopy, print, digital use)
  • Royalties for that use are paid through statutory licenses
  • Reprobel and Auvibel collect these fees and transfer them to Sabam
  • We calculate your share based on your declarations
  • You will receive your royalty payment
How is your copyright calculated?

The income you receive depends on several factors:

  • the publications you have registered
  • how those publications are used
  • the total amount of available for 
    distribution
  • your contribution to the work

Registering your publications accurately is essential. It ensures they can be taken into account and allows the income generated by their use to be attributed correctly.

Good to know
Make sure to register your publications before the end of September each year for the previous calendar year.
This enables us to include your work in the distribution process and ensure that the income generated by its use reaches you.
Publications submitted after the deadline can no longer be taken into account for that distribution.
