Joining as a Publisher
You invest in creativity and talent. We make sure it pays off.
Do you collaborate with authors and publish their works? If so, you can join Sabam and receive a share of the royalties whenever those works are used.
General (for all publishers)

The membership application as a publisher, completed and signed by the owner, manager, or representative of the publishing house
Additional requirements:

For individuals: a copy of the certificate filed with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises, stating your position as a publisher and your company name

For legal entities: a copy of the articles of incorporation published in the Belgian Official Gazette, stating your position as a publisher and your company name
You submit contracts that prove you publish works.

For music publishers: an original publishing or co-publishing contract, along with declaration form(s) for the published works, signed by all rights holders

Or a sub-publishing contract, signed by both parties, regarding individual assignments or the representation of a publishing catalog, together with the “sub-publishing agreement” declaration form
- Or a contract for the acquisition of a publishing portfolio, signed by both parties
For literary publishers:

An original publishing contract with declaration form(s) for the published works, signed by all rights holders
Additionally, for legal entities:

Proof that you are a shareholder, legal representative, director, or manager of the publishing house (if this is not evident from the articles of incorporation)
Provide evidence that the works you publish were used during the two years prior to your application, for example, through public communication or reproduction.
