Becoming a member of Sabam is easy.
Just fill in the online form and answer the confirmation email you receive afterwards. We will then process your application.
In order to be able to fill in the form more quickly, it is best to have the following documents at hand:
- a double-sided copy of your ID card
- your IBAN number and BIC code
In the next step you will have to register a number of works or provide us with extra information (depending on the discipline(s) in which you are active). See ‘What conditions must I meet to become a member of Sabam?’ for more information.
After we have confirmed your membership, you will receive your contract in two copies. Both copies must be signed and returned to us.
Becoming a member of Sabam also means you become an associate of Sabam. As such, in addition to paying a one-off administrative fee, you will also have to subscribe to a company share.
The administrative fee amounts to 75 euros for authors and 200 euros for publishers.
Concerning the company share, you can choose between:
- A full company share (124 euros)
- A partial company share (31 euro)
The first option gives you voting rights at our general meeting, while the second option only gives you access to the general meeting but no voting rights.
