A hit rarely comes out of nowhere. Songwriting is a craft - a thoughtful process of collaboration, experience, and talent. Our writing camps bring songwriters, producers, and artists together to experience that magic. Behind the scenes, where the real work happens.

What is a writing camp?

An intensive co-creation between lyricists, composers, producers, and artists. For three days, they work in small teams on new songs. Each team brings together young talent and experienced creators, under the guidance of music coaches.

Behind every hit lies craftsmanship

A chorus you find yourself humming all day long. Lyrics that touch your heart. A sound that brings it all together. None of this happens by chance. In practice, professional composers and lyricists—the so-called “hitsmiths” —work closely together to perfect songs, fine-tune them, and make them radio-friendly.

Our Sabam writing camps put that collaboration front and center. Participants discover together how a strong song is created. They get to know each other’s working methods, build bridges across genres and language barriers, and experiment with co-creation.

A springboard for new talent

For emerging songwriters, the camp is a unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced artists, producers, and mentors. They gain hands-on experience, concrete feedback, and valuable insights that can make all the difference in their future careers.
