Sabam for Culture was founded in 1981 to promote, distribute and develop the Sabam repertoire in all its forms. Both members and organisations are eligible for support. Associates can apply for a grant, while organisations can apply for financial support each year.

Sabam for Culture supports and is also present at events abroad, such as Eurosonic (Groningen), Amsterdam Dance Event (Amsterdam), MIDEM (Cannes) and MaMa Festival (Paris).
