From use to payment: here's how it works
  1. Your work is being broadcast abroad
  2. The local copyright organization collects the royalties
  3. That revenue is forwarded to Sabam
  4. We process the data and distribute the payments
  5. You receive your payment
How is your reimbursement calculated?

Your compensation depends on:

  • how often and in what way your work is used abroad
  • local copyright rules and rates
  • the information we receive from our sister organizations abroad
  • your contribution to the work

  • International royalties are often paid out later. Royalties must first be collected and processed in the country in question;
  • Each country has its own rules, rates, and processing times;
  • We automatically track your royalties through our network of sister organizations. If you notice your work being used abroad, please report it via MyPlaylist so we don’t miss anything.
