As a member of Sabam, your rights are managed worldwide through our partner authors’ societies abroad.

• Representation: Sabam has agreements with nearly all foreign authors’ societies. When your music is used in their territories, they collect royalties on your behalf.

• Transfer: The royalties collected abroad are transferred to Sabam.

• Verification and payment: Sabam verifies the data received to identify and correct any errors, ensuring you receive the correct compensation. The royalties are then paid out to you.

• Autonomous rules: each foreign association operates according to its own laws and regulations. This means that not all forms of use or all music are always represented.

• Rate differences: the rates for the use of your music abroad may differ from Belgian rates, depending on the country and its economic situation.
