How is your income calculated?
Your income depends on:

the selling price of the work;

your share of the work.
For a professional resale of €2,000 or more, you are entitled to a percentage of the selling price. This way, you continue to share in the appreciation of your work’s value.
Good to Know
- The resale right applies only to resales through a gallery, auction house, or other professional intermediary
- If you sell a work directly to a private individual, or if a private individual resells it to another private individual, then the resale right does not apply
- The resale right applies throughout Europe in accordance with harmonized rules
