Sabam collects royalties from the broadcasting stations, the cable companies, the catering trade, etc. for broadcasts on television, but also for broadcasts via NETFLIX and other video or streaming on demand platforms. Sabam also collects royalties for the duplication of an audiovisual work on DVD.
The collected royalties naturally also have to be distributed.
For broadcasts on television this is done on the basis of the broadcasting lists that we receive from the broadcasting stations and according to the allocation key defined by the authors when declaring their work.
For DVDs the collection of 6.1% on the wholesale price is distributed according to the same allocation key as for an audiovisual work.
