A score or mp3 is only required in these three cases:

• You are registering an arrangement or translation of a work in the public domain. Send us a score or mp3 of the original work and a score or mp3 of your new arrangement.
• You are registering a musical work in the jazz or classical music genre. Send us a score and/or mp3.
• Your Sabam membership is under application. In this case, always send us a score or mp3, regardless of the genre.

Do you want to have your work protected? Go to MyDepot and deposit your work. You will then have a registration certificate that establishes the authorship and creation date of your work, even before it is used. This makes it easier to resolve any disputes that may arise later.

Please note: works deposited via MyDepot are not yet included in Sabam's database.

In MyTrax you will find a list of all the works you have registered. You can upload a sound file for each work. We use innovative technology to automatically recognise your songs on most radio and TV stations and in nightclubs. This upload is not absolutely necessary to protect or register your works, but it certainly can't do any harm!
