What is the reproduction right?

Reproduction right is a copyright royalty that is collected for the reproduction of an existing work on different types of media, such as paper media (book, brochure, flyer, etc.), internet pages, television images, merchandising, etc.

The reproduction right of a work of art always remains in the hands of the artist or his heirs, even if the original work is no longer in their possession.

Only an artist or his heirs can give permission to copy the work of art. If the artist or his heirs are members of an authors' association, this permission will be given by this authors' association.

Permission to copy works of art must therefore always be requested (from the artist and the authors' association).
