Foreign authors’ associations sometimes correct previously distributed royalties. This can occur as a result of an incorrect link between royalties and a particular work, an adjustment in the documentation of a work, or missing playlists that are only added later.

When Sabam receives such a correction for your works, this may result in a negative amount on your distribution.

We used to process these corrections internally and only showed you the final result on your distribution.

From now on, we will mention a correction directly in your distribution. You will find them under the heading ‘Adjustments by sister associations’. The amounts under this heading will be deducted from your total amount of international performing rights and mechanical rights.
