When will I receive performing rights royalties for the use of my works abroad?

On average, royalties for foreign performances of your works are paid out two years after the performance. This is because we first need to receive these royalties from our foreign sister associations, then process them and only then can we pay them out to you.

So suppose that your work was performed abroad in year X. Then Sabam receives the corresponding royalties from the foreign association in year X+1 and pays you in year X+2.

The international performing rights royalties are distributed twice a year: in May and November. Check out our complete distribution schedule.

If your works are performed abroad, please let us know as soon as possible via MyPlaylist. This way, you will make sure that we and our sister associations are aware of all your performances and that you receive everything you are entitled to.
