On Monday 10 November (bridging day) and Tuesday 11 November (Armistice Day) we will be exceptionally unavailable by phone. Do you have a question? Please check out our handy FAQs or contact us using the contact form.
Freedom of panorama means that you can take and distribute photographs of copyrighted 3D works (e.g. sculptures and buildings) which are permanently located in a public place without the permission of the rightholders.
In two cases, you still have to ask the rightholders for permission in advance:
- If you want to use the photographs for commercial or advertising purposes.
- If you make a drawing, painting or other graphic adaptation of the original work (because there is no reproduction or communication to the public in that case).
