What is reprography?

Reprography is a fee for authors of literary and visual works. It is a compensation for the photocopies that are made of their works published on paper. A few examples: newspaper or magazine articles, music scores, short excerpts from books, pictures, etc.

The reprography right does not apply to film productions, radio or television shows, CD’s, works on CD-ROM, works available via internet, computer programmes and electronic databases. Also, works bigger than the A3 format are not taken into account as they cannot be copied.
